But what's most impressive is his head. It's 48 centimeters - about the 98th percentile. It's so big, in fact, that the doctor hopes at his next appointment (1 year) his head size will have reached a "plateau." We need to hope that his head doesn't get any bigger! He also still has a bit of a flat spot on one side of the back of his head. My baby's head is big and flat! I have no control over these things, so I'm trying not to worry about it (but it's hard as a Mommy to not freak a little when the doctor mentions the word "helmet.")It's okay, though. He's used to wearing a helmet.

A big head just means he's really smart, right? :)
He looks very happy and healthy!
Big head = big brain! But I know what you mean, we heard the word helmet at one point and were freaked.
He looks pretty happy to be at the doctor's office!
The bigger the better, Emily. Alastair is a happy little (big?) guy - that's what counts!
A "plateau" is large and flat. I'd say he's already there.
If you're still planning on coming up here with Alastair I'll have to measure the doors. We had a little problem getting the sofa in. Maybe we can angle him.
Just means there's more of him to love. He's adorable!
Awh, his head looks perfect to me! He is such a cutie.
I really believe those percentile charts were only created to give us Mamas another thing to freak out about.
