New Friends and New Things to Chew On

Alastair is almost able to sit up on his own. To prevent him from toppling over onto his face, I put the Boppy around him to provide some support. Here he is sitting up in his crib:
Yesterday, while in this position, he discovered a new chew toy!
That is one tasty crib. And it must feel good on the new teeth that are coming in (he already has his two bottom teeth - now the top ones are popping through.)

This morning, Alastair and I hosted a playdate. Grace came over with her mom Lisa, and Niv and his mom Shiri joined us. The babes took turns in the jumparoo while the moms had blueberry cake and tea. And then I brought down a basket full of toys and Alastair did his best to share them with Grace and Niv.
That's a lot of toys!

This one is my favorite, because it looks like Alastair is totally eyeing whatever Niv is playing with, and it also shows how ladylike and adorable Grace is (it's so funny having a boy and then seeing how different little baby girls can be.) And I love how they're all wearing bibs - though Alastair has still managed to get the top of his shirt covered in drool.

weight: 19 lbs. 10 oz.
height: 27.5 inches
head: 46 cm. (that's about the 97th percentile for head size, baby!)
